My Final and Most Breathtaking Experience (Literally)

For my final experience, I got to skydive in Seville, Spain. This is probably the most typical type experience that comes to mind when people think of “trying new things” or “living life to the fullest”. Skydiving is interesting since it's actually quite scary when you think about it and yet so worth it.

Skydiving: Birds-eye View of Seville, Spain

Let me start by saying that I am deathly afraid of heights. I’m the person that will be one floor up at the mall and when I look down, my knees start to get weak and I need to start holding onto something. Why the heck did I even think about skydiving then?!

Taking a Ride from a Stranger and Travelling for Cheap

For this experience, I did what our parents always told us not to do: take a ride from a stranger. We needed to go down to the south of Spain and we didn’t want to fly so we were looking at alternatives.

Scuba Diving: Mentally, the Toughest Experience Ever

For someone that doesn’t know how to swim, this new experience asked me to submerse myself in the unknowns and learn to be a temporary resident of the open waters.

Try Something New Even If It’s As Simple As Whistling

This experience was the cheapest and easiest to do yet it was super fun. For context, we were in Seville, Spain and half our day was spent indoors due to how hot it was outside.

ATV: Vroom Vroom in Santorini, Greece

As a tourist in Santorini, the main mode of transportation is the ATV. I’ve actually never driven or rode on an ATV before, so you could imagine my excitement when we decided to rent our own ATV.

Designing Your Life Around Surfing and More

I have always wanted to learn how to surf (like a lot of people) so I jumped at the opportunity to take a surfing class in Portugal.

Surfing: Love at First Experience

They say that there’s such a thing as love at first sight, well, I will also say that there’s something called love at first experience. That love, was surfing.

How Begging for Change Challenges Your Comfort Zone

This was the toughest experience I did, not because of any physical requirements but from a mental point of view. I was really nervous before doing it mostly out of embarrassment to be asking for change.

Henna: Ink that I Don’t Regret Having

I’ve always wanted to get a tattoo. Not because it’s a badass thing to do or that I want something “cool” on my skin.

Why You Should Try to Catch a Pigeon Before You Die

This is one of the favorite things I did during my 10in10. I really wanted to catch a pigeon and I spent a good hour trying trying to do that. If you look at videos online, it seems easy but my experience was completely different.

Cooking for Couchsurfing

Throughout my 6-month adventure in Europe, I was lucky to have couchsurfed 9 times. For those of you aren’t familiar with Couchsurfing, it’s essentially a global community of amazing people who are either seeking for hosts to accommodate them for a brief period of time during their travels, or hosts who are opening their homes to travellers in return for meeting new people and vicariously experiencing the world through others.

Getting to Know a City through Its Music

This next experience came about in a pretty random way. We were in the middle of a wine tour in Porto, Portugal and I was trying to think about a new experience for my 10in10 that we could while in Porto.

Wine Tour: Putting the Port in Porto

What’s Porto, Portugal known for you ask? Obviously port wine!.

Asking a Fortune Teller How to Live Life to the Fullest

I always been interested in fortune telling and all the weirdness around it. I had a chance to book an appointment with a tarot reader in Barcelona and ask her all about the different areas of my life.

Free Hugs: Where is the Love?

You’ve all seen it on Youtube. Some of you have even seen it in person. And maybe a few of you have done it before.

How Hard Can It Be to Ride a Donkey? Crossing Off a Bucket List Item

I love animals, as my friends can tell you. I’m always dreaming about riding animals like bears (though it will probably kill you) or a panda (which probably wouldn’t work very well).

Cliff Jumping: Taking a Dive in a Picture Perfect Scenery

Santorini in Greece was the the first time I witnessed such beautiful Mediterranean waters – it was amazingly crystal clear.

Watching a Movie Under the Stars (Outdoor Cinema)

One of the new experiences I wanted to try while doing my 10in10 was to go to an outdoor cinema and watch an awesome movie under the stars.
